Description
The Mathematics and Applications program aims to train students with strong theoretical foundations in mathematics while developing their ability to apply this knowledge to practical problems in science, technology, economics, and social sciences. It emphasizes scientific rigor, mathematical modeling, data analysis, scientific computing, and problem-solving skills.
Objectifs
The objectives of the program are to:
- Provide a solid background in fundamental mathematics (analysis, algebra, probability, statistics);
- Develop skills in mathematical modeling and quantitative analysis;
- Introduce students to computational tools and scientific software (programming, numerical computation, data analysis);
- Prepare students for advanced studies or professional integration in fields related to applied mathematics;
- Foster critical thinking, methodological rigor, and scientific autonomy.
Débouchés
Graduates of the Mathematics and Applications program may pursue:
- Further studies: Master’s and PhD programs in mathematics, statistics, data science, computer science, engineering, economics, or related fields;
- Teaching careers (with additional pedagogical training);
